Misty Hanson - President

​Misty Hanson graduated from Chippewa High School in 2001 and went on to study Justice Studies at Kent State University where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in 2005.  In 2006 she began working as a specialized dockets probation officer with the Medina County Juvenile Court and continued to work there until becoming the chief probation officer with the Wayne County Juvenile Court in 2013.

Matt Brown - Vice President

Matt Brown is currently serving as the High School Principal at the Wayne County Schools Career Center.  He previously taught Middle School Language Arts, Reading, and Social Studies and served as Varsity Baseball Coach for Shelby City Schools.  

Matt is a graduate of Shelby Senior High School in Shelby, OH.  He earned an Associate of Science degree from Coastal Alabama Community College in Bay Minette, Alabama while participating in Men’s Baseball.

Matt moved back home and finished out his Bachelor of Science in Middle Grades Education at Ashland University in Ashland, OH and again was a member of the Men’s Baseball team.  He returned to Ashland University to obtain both his Master of Education degree in Educational Administration and Superintendent Licensure.
Matt is a resident of Wooster, OH and is a member of the Wooster Kiwanis Club. 

Helen Bartashus

​Helen Bartashus has over 30 years of experience in education.  She began as an elementary teacher, then as a high school ED teacher, and most recently as Director of Special Education.  She received a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education from Kutztown State and a MEd Degree in Educational Administration from Ashland University.  She is a surrogate parent with State Support Team Region 9.

Cameron C. Maneese

Cameron C. Maneese is a graduate of the College of Wooster where she received a B.A. in Religious Studies and Sociology. Having worked over 20 years with the Wayne County Juvenile and Probate Courts and seven years at the College of Wooster for the Office of Academic Affairs, Ms. Maneese retired from Wayne County government after 12 years as the Director of the Wayne County Family and Children First Council.  For the last three years she has been a co-advisor for the College of Wooster’s Applied Methods Research Experience projects. She is certified by the Ohio Supreme Court in Advanced Mediation and is a retired social worker. She received the Wayne County Athena Award in 2010, the 2012 Wayne-Holmes Mental Health and Recovery Board Advocate award, and 2016 Wayne County Children Services Board Child Advocate of the Year.  She is currently the Director of the Downtown Arts Theater which supports film arts and education in Wooster and Wayne County. She is especially interested in arts and animal assisted therapy.

Justin Chenevey

Justin Chenevey is a longtime Wayne County resident, graduating from Waynedale High School before moving on to The University of Akron where he graduated with his Bachelors degree in 2008. Following the completion of his undergraduate, Justin chose to continue his education, this time at The University of Akron’s School of Law. During law school, Justin continued his ties to the Wayne County area interning with the Wayne County Court of Common Pleas as well as a number of local attorney’s offices, before graduating with his Juris Doctorate in May of 2012. After successfully obtaining his license to practice law, Justin opened his own law practice in the City of Wooster in December of 2012, a practice he continues today.

Sandy Hadsell - Treasurer

Sandy Hadsell is the Treasurer for Norwayne Local Schools, Beacon Hill Community School, and Liberty Preparatory School. He has been a School Treasurer for three years, and previously was an Assistant Treasurer for seven years. After living in Crawford County most of their lives, Sandy, and his wife, Cheryl moved to the Wooster area three years ago. They have been married for 33 years, have two adult sons, and one granddaughter.
